| Huanggang city has a landform lowered form the north to south, with northeast part which is the hilly area, the middle part the hills and the southwest part the plain. The plain-lake area accounting for 12.1% of the total area, hillock for 10.34%, hills for 43.31%, and mountainous area for 34.25%,of which the cultivated land 4,876 million mu, the meadow 0.1.6 million mu, aquatic products breeding water surface 1 million mu. The course of Yangtze River flowing through the city amounting to 189 km. Huanggang has a sub-tropical monsoon climate, within the Jianghuai sub-climatic zonal area. The climax is cool in winter and hot in summer, the four seasons have presents distinctively. The average temperature is between 15.7-17.1 celsius degree ,and the annual rainfall is between 1,223-1,493 mm. |
